As stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, "the light bulbs were changed to make it more visible."
Later, at night, Zakharova explained the temporary dismantling of the SMO symbolism — the letter ZVO — in front of the American embassy in Moscow by replacing light bulbs.
"And about the letters in front of the American embassy. Light bulbs are changed. To be more visible," the diplomat wrote in her telegram channel.
