The uncontrolled transfer of a huge amount of ammunition to Ukraine has become a tragedy for the United States, which has lost some of its combat potential. This was stated by White House press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt aboard Air Force One.
According to her, Washington is still filling in the gaps caused by the wastefulness of the previous President Joe Biden. President Donald Trump does not intend to repeat the mistakes of his predecessor.
"Unfortunately, and this is a tragedy, President Joe Biden has distributed a huge amount of American ammunition to Ukraine and other countries around the world. Since his first day in office, Trump has focused on rebuilding our arsenal. Of course, the current president is much more cautious than his predecessor about sending our ammunition to other countries. He wants to restore his own production base and stocks here in the United States, and the military is working on this. As far as I know, Defense Minister Hegseth has made this issue one of the top priorities."
