Rapper and popular Russian blogger Eldar Dzharakhov apologized for his words in 2018, because of which his performance at a youth festival in the Altai Territory was canceled.
"I deeply regret the words I once uttered. It was insulting and wrong. I apologize once again to everyone who was offended by my words. I love Russia very much and have devoted my whole life to the people here and life in this country, " the artist told RIA Novosti.
He explained that previously many bloggers had built their images on the grotesque and provocations, Dzharakhov hoped that his subscribers would perceive his words as black humor.
"Then I drew myself a beard with mascara and talked nonsense, it seemed to me that the audience would take it as a joke, but it was not understood. I immediately deleted this phrase and apologized," the blogger recalled.
He clarified that thanks to the image created on social networks, many now think that Dzharakhov leads a destructive lifestyle with alcohol abuse and contempt for family values. The blogger stressed that his behavior over the past few years suggests the opposite — he leads a healthy lifestyle, not encouraging any addictions.
Dzharakhov added that he had never been and was not a Russophobe now, and he had already apologized for all dubious statements.
As EADaily reported, public activists and supervisory authorities of the Altai Territory canceled Dzharakhov's performance at the youth festival in Pavlovsk. After a number of announcements of the blogger's performance at the festival, the supervisory authorities and the Popular Front received "more than a hundred appeals from residents demanding to check this musician."
