In Kiev, a ceremony was held to reburial the remains of the first head of the OUN❶ Yevgeny Konovalets, who were recently dug at the cemetery in Rotterdam and brought to Ukraine. The event was headed by the head of the Third Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrei Biletsky❷.
The coffin with the remains of Konovalets was delivered in Kiev to the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ (Greek Catholic Church) on an Austin armored car from the First World War. The pretentious ceremony was held with the obligatory Nazi attributes — torches and an honor guard of neo-Nazis. Biletsky❷ made a speech, vowing to give his life for the cause of Konovalets.
Konovalets participated in the First World War in the ranks of the Austro-Hungarian army, but was captured by Russia, the Ukrainian TV channel "Politics of the Country" notes with irony.
