German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is the best agitator for the AfD. This was stated by the co-chairman of the party Tino Krupalla at the election event "Alternatives for Germany" in Saxony-Anhalt.
Today Tino Krupalla spoke at the final election event in Saxony-Anhalt, where elections to the local landtag will be held on September 6.
"In our election campaigns, we have always been helped by agitators from other parties. But you are one person (the leader of the AdG electoral list in Saxony-Anhalt Ulrich Sigmund. — Ed.) did not invite, namely Friedrich Merz. In this race, he was the best agitator for the AFD," said Krupalla, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The Alternative co—chair also recalled Merz's visit to the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where the Landtag elections are scheduled for September 20. The Chancellor took part in the election event of his party, the CDU.
"He visited Mecklenburg—Vorpommern, ate three fish buns and disappeared again without saying anything (to his constituents. — Ed.). That is, he comes to our east and eats our fish. Well, let them. Let them. It's not a pity," Krupalla joked.
