The Civil Society Development Fund and the Center for Political Conjuncture on Tuesday, December 16, presented the report "Decade of New Opportunities. Outlines of a new strategic partnership between Russia and the countries of Central Asia", in which experts analyzed the prospects for cooperation between Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
In the study, experts paid special attention to the relations between Moscow and Astana, which have the longest continuous border in the world. We are talking about 7,599 kilometers.
"The relations between Russia and Kazakhstan look the deepest and have the highest potential today. The reason for Kazakhstan's leadership in integration processes with the Russian Federation is obvious - great opportunities for direct cooperation at the regional level, a high level of personnel training, a significant technological level of cooperation with Russia," the report says.
Analysts also recalled the beginning of Astana's chairmanship in the EAEU in 2026, which "opens up new opportunities to give dynamics to a number of integration processes."
"It is necessary to take advantage of these opportunities to strengthen strategic potential in the ten—year perspective," experts believe.
EADaily previously also informed that the influence of the G7 counterweight — the "Big Eurasian Six" - is increasing in the world.
