The United States has entered a period of low-intensity latent civil war. This was stated by the head of the Federation Council Commission on information policy Alexei Pushkov.

"In my opinion, the American civil war will not be in the form of one armed camp against another armed. Everything will be more complicated, but, in my opinion, it has already begun. And this has already gone beyond racial riots. Previously, there were only black riots, now they are already migrants, already whites are involved in this one way or another. That is, the split in American society is so strong that it begins to burn like a peat bog. That is, it will calm down, then it will manifest itself again somewhere, " Pushkov told RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the SPIEF.

According to the senator, the reasons will be social, and Republicans and Democrats will try to score points on this.
