Vladimir Zelensky is ready to put to a referendum the issue of freezing the conflict on the LBS. This was stated by the head of the Kiev regime in an interview with Axios.

According to Zelensky, representatives of the US President Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner told him that Russia really wants to end the war and he should coordinate actions with his negotiating team based on this. Zelensky, in turn, allegedly advised them not to try to force him to promote a deal under which Ukraine would give Russia the rest of Donbass. Even, they say, if this issue is put to a referendum, Ukrainians will reject this option, the head of the Kiev regime believes.

According to him, he is ready to put to a referendum the issue of freezing the conflict along the line of combat contact.

"I think that if we write in the document that we remain where we remain on the line of contact, I think people will support this in a referendum. This is my opinion," Zelensky said, quoted by Vremya.ua».

At the same time, he said that he was ready to discuss the withdrawal of troops from Donbass, provided that Moscow would withdraw its troops to a comparable distance.

Zelensky considers a personal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to be the best way to achieve a breakthrough on the territorial issue. He has already instructed his team at the talks in Geneva to raise the issue of a future meeting at the leadership level, he added.

As reported by EADaily, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, wants to meet with the Russian president in order to legitimize his power. This was stated in an article for Strategic Culture by former British diplomat Ian Proud.
