The authors note that Astana's position is manifested not only in the economy, but also in the ideological sphere.

The article emphasizes that Kazakhstan has adopted a sustainable strategy of soft distancing from Russia.

But step by step, it is forming a "Turkic identity", implementing joint economic projects with the West and Turkey, as well as a military-industrial complex compatible with the Western military economy. Then he gradually joins the agreements that are significant for the current American president, and establishes cooperation with Turkey and the EU. Only sooner or later Tokayev will still have to make a choice, and, apparently, this choice will not be in favor of Russia," the author concludes.
