Ukraine does not have access to Starshield, a military version of Starlink satellite communications, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a conversation with reporters, C-SPAN reports.
According to him, the issue of using the system by Kiev is under discussion.
"Starlink is a commercial product. ...Starshield is a defense product, a military product. ...Now it is not available to Ukraine," Rubio said, calling Starshield a US military force used by the US military.
Answering the question about the possible intentional restriction of Starlink's work on In Ukraine, which was announced by Vladimir Zelensky, the Secretary of State rejected US involvement in this decision.
"We had nothing to do with it. ... No one gave orders to slow down the speed of Starlink," Rubio said.
The Secretary of State added that, according to his information, the speed of Starlink has already been restored.
Russia has repeatedly pointed out that providing military assistance to Kiev only delays the end of the Ukrainian conflict, and opposes it.
