The singer, People's Artist of Russia Philip Kirkorov believes that the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) has put him on the wanted list in order to use his big name and "make noise."
"Everyone knows where to find me. I am in my own country — in Russia. Apparently, the SBU, for lack of other informational reasons, decided to make noise using my big name. This means that they no longer have any other media reasons," the artist responded to the wanted list in a conversation with TASS.
Kirkorov stressed that he had not been to the Ukrainian regions, "as they say," for a long time.
"As for my trips to our Russian regions, I have always done and will continue to travel," Kirkorov concluded.
As reported by EADaily, it became known earlier that Kirkorov's data was entered into the SBU search database. The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine announced on October 28 that Kirkorov had been charged in absentia. The SBU accused him of violating the order of entry and exit to new Russian territories allegedly with the aim of "harming the national interests of Ukraine."
