The Ukrainian authorities have crossed an acceptable line in their attacks on Hungary and interference in the internal affairs of the country. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
According to him, relations between the two countries were in a state of conflict.
"The Ukrainian leadership has crossed the line. We did not seek a conflict, but Hungary has been under the gun for several days," Orban said.
The Hungarian prime minister stressed that neither threats from Vladimir Zelensky, nor from the Foreign minister, nor from extremist military groups will stop Budapest in defending the interests of Hungarians. He also assured that Hungary would not provide financial support to Ukraine, would not allow its accession to the European Union and would not refuse to import Russian energy carriers to the detriment of its own citizens.
Earlier, the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, on behalf of the Prime Minister, summoned the Ukrainian ambassador to Budapest because of Kiev's interference in the country's internal affairs. According to Orban, the top authorities in In Kiev, including Zelensky, "made gross insults and threats against Hungary and the Hungarian government." These attacks, according to the Prime Minister, were part of a coordinated action aimed at interfering in the Hungarian elections.
