Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that Poland no longer feels panic in front of Russia. He said this in an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
According to him, Russia today has no means to attack Poland, the maximum that can be expected is provocations.
"We have been thinking about our security against Russia for about 500 years and will not stop. Russia has invaded the Poland in history. When the Russians threaten us, we take these threats seriously. But today I have Putin does not have the means to attack us, at most he can try to carry out some kind of provocation ... Yes, there are concerns… Because we cannot rule out that, although he cannot win, he can still make a similar decision," Sikorsky said on the blue eye.
When asked that, according to The Telegraph, the United States had warned Poland about a possible armed provocation in the coming months, this time he noted that he could "neither confirm nor deny it."
"But the information comes from a reliable newspaper and, therefore, is probably correct. And that is why we are sending a signal to the Russians: we know that they are preparing something, as it was before the invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine," Sikorski added.
The deputy prime minister also said that Poland takes defense "very seriously," but "we no longer feel panic in front of Russia."
As reported by EADaily, Warsaw asked Russian President Vladimir Putin not to attack Poland. This was stated at a joint press conference on the NATO summit, which will be held on July 7-8 in Moscow. Ankara, Deputy Prime Ministers - Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh, radio station RMF24 reported.
This is how they reacted to media reports that Russia allegedly intends to probe NATO by invading Poland.
