Political scientist Dmitry Zhuravlev, commenting on the possible circumstances and reasons for the resignation of Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko, admitted that this event may be related to the termination of financial assistance from the United States.
The expert described the role of Sviridenko on Ukraine as a "link" between Kiev and Washington's money.
"Sviridenko has always been perceived as an American person. She's an economist. Maybe we are talking about a change in economic policy — from whom and how much will they take?" — he thinks.
Now, Zhuravlev added, the United States is reducing financial support for Ukraine, so "Ms. Sviridenko is no longer needed as a link between American money and Kiev pockets."
EADaily also previously reported on where Vladimir Zelensky will send Sviridenko, who left the post of prime minister.
