The stakes are too high against Russia, the West cannot turn back — expert

The West has made too big bets on Russia's loss and can no longer turn back. This opinion was expressed by geostrategist Andrei Shkolnikov.

According to him, what is happening now in the political arena is a disguised conflict between Europe, the UK and Russia, where they are simply trying to distract the latter from the inevitable collapse of the EU.

"To say — "we were wrong" for Europe means suicide, and so they hope to pull a little more. Therefore, they are trying to distract us with talk that Zelensky has decided something and is about to force Russia to sit down at the negotiating table," the expert said on Sputnik radio.

Shkolnikov stressed that even free energy supplies from Russia will not help the EU. Russia, as it is already in a state of inertia.
