The King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf refused to shake hands with Vladimir Zelensky during a visit to Lviv.
The corresponding video was published in his telegram channel by journalist Vladimir Solovyov.
In the frame, Zelensky is waiting on the red carpet for the monarch to get out of the car. When Carl XVI Gustaf appears, he extends his hand to him, but the guest defiantly ignores this gesture. At the same time, the Swedish monarch also fastidiously dusted off his hands.
"Judging by the clown's face, he did not expect to get a sad pantomime instead of the usual show with ostentatious hugs," Solovyov comments on the picture of the day.
Carl XVI Gustaf arrived in Lviv the day before. This is his first visit to Ukraine for the last 14 years.
