Kazakh media found out the identity of the detainee in Poland for the espionage of the assistant military attache of Kazakhstan in Kiev. "What a shame!", — the journalists state.
The source of the Orda publication said that the detainee's name is Anuar Bigembai. He is 30-35 years old, he has two children, one of whom was born in In Kiev, and he graduated from one of the military educational institutions of Russia.
"We drew attention to an interesting coincidence: on the website of the Embassy of Kazakhstan on Ukraine indicated that the post of military attache is occupied by Bakytzhan Begimbayevich Kisentayev. We have learned that the arrested man is his nephew," Orda clarifies.
In this regard, the well-known Kazakhstani publicist Gulnar Bazhkenova wonders:
"Were they spying on a family contract there? One way or another, in addition to the international embarrassment with espionage, the good old Kazakh nepotism should be added to the case. What a shame!"
Journalists note that, probably, the Ukrainian side gave the Polish security forces the opportunity to detain the suspect on their own in order not to aggravate relations with Kazakhstan. In addition, diplomatic immunity extended to Anuar Bigembai in Ukraine.
Kazakh political scientist Adil Seifullin argues:
"Poland interprets the episode as a threat to the security of Poland and NATO, the tone of official messages is harsh. For Kazakhstan, which is building a balanced foreign policy and a balance of relations, such rhetoric is incomprehensible. It is important to adhere to the legal framework and professional communication, insist on compliance with procedures, separate the function of defense diplomacy from the espionage narrative and not allow this case to become a bargaining chip in someone else's agenda."
