The FBI has warned California police departments that Iran could launch a drone strike on the west coast of the United States. It is reported by ABC News with reference to the document at its disposal.
The bureau distributed the document at the end of February.
"We have recently received information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly planned to launch a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United States, in particular, on unspecified targets in California, in case the United States strikes Iran," the warning, which quotes The Guardian.
The Bureau noted that it has no additional information "about the time, method, purpose or persons" who will be involved in the "alleged attack."
