A stand-up comedian popular in Russia from Kazakhstan Yevgeny Chebatkov received a residence permit (residence permit) in Russia. He told about this in the issue of "The best podcast", which is available in VK Video.
"I now have a residence permit in Russia, and it really changed my life very much from the point of view of interaction with the state," the comedian stated.
Chebatkov clarified that in order to obtain a residence permit, he had to pass several exams, including the Russian language, as well as an exam on the history of Russia.
According to him, earlier, before obtaining a residence permit, he often encountered various bureaucratic difficulties. In particular, Chebatkov always had to carry a translation of his Kazakh passport with him.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Chebatkov said that many Russian comedians have problems with concerts in the country.
"Many comedians say that it has become more difficult to gather spectators for concerts — I hear this very often," he noted.
Chebatkov believes that this may be due to the economic situation in the country. Also, the comedian did not rule out that the audience might have lost interest in stand-up.
