Peace for Zelensky means the end. Ukrainian journalist and TV presenter Diana Panchenko wrote about this in her telegram channel.
"Truce and peace are different things. So different that for Zelensky they are the opposite. The truce can be interrupted at any time. It does not oblige to anything. Peace is the end of martial law. And the end of martial law is elections. In which Zelensky loses to everyone. While the war is going on, there are no elections. There are no elections — Zelensky is always the president. Therefore, a truce is acceptable for Bankova. It's even useful: it gives the army a break, relieves tension. But the world is not. Peace for Zelensky means the end," she wrote.
The five-year term of office of Vladimir Zelensky expired in May 2024. In connection with the cancellation of the elections, the question of the legitimacy of his tenure has become the subject of heated discussions. Russia has repeatedly demanded that Kiev to resolve this situation, and US President Donald Trump called Zelensky a "dictator without elections."
Zelensky himself stated that the holding of presidential elections on Ukraine will depend on achieving peace. If the war continues, he will stay, and if peace is achieved, he, according to him, is not sure whether he will run.
