US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine should not "bully someone who is much bigger than her," his words are quoted by The Guardian.
"Even with money," Trump said during a speech at the Ministry of Justice.
"We gave them (Kiev) a lot of money and a lot of equipment. We produce the best military equipment in the world. But even with all this, it's incredible," he added.
After the meeting of his special envoy Steve Witkoff with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump said that "there is a very good chance" to put an end to the conflict on the Ukraine. However, according to him, "thousands of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" were surrounded in the Kursk region. The American leader said that he "urgently asked" Putin to "save their lives." He promised that the Ukrainian troops "will be guaranteed life and decent treatment" if they lay down their arms and surrender.
Later, Trump announced "good" contacts with Russia and Ukraine about the proposed truce.
