The prosecutor's office demands to ban the activities of the former member of the board of directors of Alfa-Bank businessman Alexander Galitsky and Almaz Capital Partners Corporation (Almaz Capital Partners, LTD) in connection with signs of extremism. This was reported in the press service of the Tver court, which received the claim of the supervisory authority.

"The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow has received an administrative lawsuit against Galitsky Alexander Vladimirovich and Almaz Capital Partners, LTD (Almaz Capital Partners, LTD) to ban the activities of the association in connection with the implementation of extremist activities and the conversion of property into state income," the court's press service told TASS.

EADaily reminds that the chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov was outraged by the story of the arrest of Galitsky's ex-wife Aliya Galitskaya, who committed suicide in an IVS. The resignation of the judge who arrested Galitskaya was the result of Krasnov's intervention.

Prior to that, Galitskaya was prosecuted for defamation (Part 5 of Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for spreading deliberately false information about her ex-husband. And on February 4, 2026, a case was initiated against her under paragraph "b" of part 3 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (extortion in order to obtain property on an especially large scale). The court chose the Galician measure of restraint in the form of detention until April 3, 2026. The next day she committed suicide in an IVS.

According to the investigation, Galitskaya demanded over $ 150 million from her ex-husband.

Later, the Moscow Regional Court overturned the decision of the court of first instance on the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention in respect of Aliya. The decision on the measure of restraint in the form of detention was canceled at the request of the investigator. The Moscow Regional Court also issued a private ruling against the judge, by whose decision Galitskaya was taken into custody. "The Moscow Regional Court pointed out that there was no proper motivation for the decision to take the suspect into custody," the court's press service said.
