Israeli media anxiously broadcast a statement by the IRGC Central Command, which warned residents about attacks on US and Israeli banks in the region.
"It is better for residents of the region not to approach these banks closer than a kilometer. The enemy has given us the freedom to attack economic centers and banks owned by the United States and Israel," Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfakari said, accusing these countries of carrying out cyber attacks against Iran's banking system.
The day before, the Central Bank of Iran reported a malfunction in some banking services. According to state media, it was a cyber attack directed against two of the largest Iranian banks — Sepah and Melli.
