The authors of the telegram channel "Two Majors" made a request from residents of the border region and other regions regularly attacked by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to deputies, officials, security forces — "finally give birth to a law so that ordinary people can also not only look angrily at the plywood shit flying over their heads," but also themselves shoot it down.
This is how Z-bloggers reacted to the administrative punishment of Nikolai Mukhin, a 66-year-old resident of the Volgograd region, who picked up a hunting rifle to shoot down an enemy drone flying over him.
"The guy wanted to shoot down the drone with a gun — he was fined 40 thousand and they will probably take away the weapon. An important topic is raised by the head of the Kursk region Khinstein, after reading about a sad story in The media," the "Two Majors" note.
The story is this: on the night of July 7, Nikolai Mukhin, a farmer from the Volgograd region, woke up to the drone of a UAV flying over his house. The man dialed the emergency number 112, took a gun and went outside.
"I used to call 112 many times and report flights. They usually fly from two to four in the morning, six to eight each. This time I also just wanted to let you know, but I fired when the second drone was already swooping in. I didn't end the call, but just put the phone on the car. The dispatcher heard the shots and asked: "Did you shoot? Do you have a license?"" — said Mukhin.
License for a gun from Nikolai Mukhin was. A protocol was drawn up on the hunter under Article 20.13 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Shooting from weapons in populated areas").
"I was told that the downed drone could have fallen on residential buildings. There is a forest, a river further, there are no residential buildings. Would it have been better if the drone had reached its target?" — the farmer asks a question.
As Z-bloggers emphasize, "shame on those who made up a protocol for a person."
"The hunter is able to calculate the drop point, especially since it was in the village, and not in urban development. Instead of channeling the people's impulse to defend the Motherland (give "shooting licenses" to singles and detachments, everyone can't go to BARS!), officials show the most vile qualities of bureaucrats and discourage all the desire to help the state at the call of their hearts," Two Majors are indignant.
To put it bluntly, they continue, such actions cause unpleasant remarks like "well, continue to communicate with your war, if that's the case."
"Do Volgograd bureaucrats achieve this purposefully or out of utter stupidity? Or do they have relatives on Ukraine in the Armed Forces of Ukraine? What is the meaning of such use of repressive power by the state in this particular case? Review the film "Voroshilov Shooter" and look not at the actions of an internal affairs officer, colleagues, as a sample," military correspondents argue.
"Well, to our deputies, officials, security forces — a request from the residents of the border region and not only: give birth to a legislative initiative / bill so that ordinary people can also not only look with anger at the plywood shit flying over their heads," Two Majors urge. - Or only the BEAC can lobby for similar bills that expand the list of entities that have the right to use weapons?"
Z-bloggers expressed "thanks to Comrade Khinstein for raising a hot topic and inviting a man to his BARS in Kursk region".
