The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, announced on the evening of July 21 that Mikhail Drapaty would be the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Zelensky thanked Alexander Syrsky for his service.
"Serving Ukraine has always been an honor for me, and during the war of independence it means absolute responsibility," Drapaty said after the appointment.
Drapaty thanked the outgoing commander-in-chief of Syrsky "for consistent work to strengthen the Ukrainian army."
"I will work responsibly, with concentration and with respect for the people who are defending our state today. Glory to the nation! Death to the enemies!" — said Drapaty.
