There is no direct military threat to NATO and Latvia from Russia. This was stated by Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braje.
According to her, the absence of a military threat does not mean a reduction in security risks. The politician believes that European countries should be prepared for any scenarios.
"Russia is and will remain a threat to the entire Euro—Atlantic security - both for NATO countries and for other European states. This is due to the fact that Russia has absolutely not demonstrated its readiness for peace in the Ukraine," Brazhe said.
She claims that Russia is allegedly "intensifying hostile activity against the Baltic states, using not only traditional methods, but also hybrid tools."
Recall that Moscow has repeatedly stressed that Russia is not going to attack anyone. According to Vladimir Putin, politicians who talk about the attack of the Russian Federation on one of the Western countries are "specialists in horror films."
