Russian schoolchildren from Riga filmed a "tick-tok" about how they rushed down the stairs in order not to go to a Latvian language lesson. The local GEBE made a check.
Employees of the Latvian State Security Service intend to visit one of the Riga schools, whose students made a video about their unwillingness to attend a Latvian language lesson. In a video posted in Tiktok, the children demonstrated how much they dislike Latvian language lessons. Schoolchildren allegedly jump over the railing of the second floor, and then lie on the stone staircase, pretending to be crippled.
The video is accompanied by text in Russian:
"We, when it is necessary to go to Latvian."
The director of the school, Veneranda Bogdane, tried to translate everything into a joke, but clarified that "the responsibility of the creators of the video will be appreciated." The Latvian Okhrana also reported that they "drew attention to this video."
Latvian comments on the video are full of cave Russophobia:
"It's a pity that they didn't really [get killed]" (Janis Četvergs).
"Quilted jackets and urls learn to fly" (Aivars Sevelis).
"These feeble-minded individuals, the scum of the fifth column, should be deported to their ethnic homeland!" (Mārcis Freimanis).
