The Ukrainian Supreme Rada Committee for Procedure has discussed appeal of Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko for arrest of MP Nadezhda Savchenko and decided to approve it. It means that the committee has given consent for stripping Savchenko of her parliamentary immunity that will result in her arrest.
The decision is explained by the committee members by “high level of social threat” from Savchenko; she can leave the country, the MPs suppose, reports RIA Novosti Ukraine.
After the committee approval, the issue is to be put for voting at parliamentary session; the MPs are to make their final decision after Lutsenko’s report.
As EADaily reported earlier, Lutsenko announced that Nadezhda Savchenko addressed officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces asking them to organize terror attacks against the leadership of the country.
