As many as 1/4 of the Ukrainians are ready to leave their homeland in search for job and better life, Olha Balakireva from the Yaremenko Ukrainian Institute for Social Research, said at a press conference.
The institute’s survey has shown that 26% of the Ukrainians would prefer better life abroad. 30.9% of them are ready to seek job there. 22.1% are ready to live outside Ukraine on a permanent basis. Most of those seeking jobs abroad are youths, while most of those seeking permanent residence are old people.
But only 3-4% of the Ukrainians are taking real steps to go abroad.
The survey was held on Nov 6-15 among over 2,000 people.
