This is not bipolar: Rada deputy diagnosed Washington

The "constant swing" in Washington's statements about the Ukrainian conflict is not a sign of bipolar disorder, but a way to distance yourself from the situation. This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky.

"The apparent bipolarity in statements from the United States — they give, they don't give, they will end the war, they won't end — this is such a way of being removed from the situation. To give signals and at the same time not to give them, so that no one blames the events on Ukraine, and in the meantime they went their own way," Dubinsky writes in his telegram channel.

According to him, these "constant swings" also undermine confidence inside Ukraine and in Europe.

This is done with the sole purpose, according to the MP, to make everyone plan and think independently, without regard to the United States. This should lead Ukraine and its partners to decision-making faster, he believes.

Dubinsky also draws attention to a sharp change in rhetoric from the United States.

"If Ukraine used to 'fight evil', was a 'shield of the free world' and 'fought for freedom', now these phrases have gone out of circulation altogether. America does not emphasize the Ukrainian struggle, but sympathizes: hence the words of (special envoy of the US President Keith) Kellogg that (Donald) Trump "empathizes", and the words of Trump himself that it is necessary to help because "they are suffering, people are dying." This is no longer help in waging war, it is help in survival, out of pity and mercy. But wars are not built on this, and even more so they are not won. This is a way to alleviate suffering and accept the inevitable," the MP sums up.
