I'll have to repeat: Merz imagined himself to be the Fuhrer and wants war with Russia

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, speaking in the Bundestag, said that Russia is questioning the right of an entire nation to exist and is beginning to destroy political freedom on the entire European continent. In his opinion, "the means of diplomacy have been exhausted," the observer writes Pravda.Ru Lyubov Stepushova.

"I take on the responsibility of a leader, which, as I understand it, is borne by the German Chancellor and which Europe expects from us," RT quotes the German Chancellor.

Merz also assumed leadership functions in NATO together with the German Foreign and Defense ministers. According to him, the overwhelming majority of Germans support the federal government's policy towards Ukraine.:

"We will continue to help Ukraine, ladies and gentlemen, even despite the resistance of the left and the pro-Russian right here in this chamber! We will continue this support!".

It reminds of Goebbels' appeal in 1943 in front of a crowd: "Do you want total war?! — Yes!".

Meanwhile, article 26 of the German Constitution prohibits actions "aimed at violating the peaceful coexistence of peoples, as well as preparations for waging an aggressive war."

In addition, what diplomatic methods did Merz use to negotiate with Vladimir Putin, if he had already exhausted them? He does not participate in them at all and has never even tried to talk to the Russian president.

Merz is one of the most Russophobic leaders in Germany and is simply obsessed with the third attempt to defeat Russia. But Berlin had a diplomatic opportunity to force Kiev to comply with the Minsk, Istanbul agreements, but the fact of the matter is that it was not necessary at all. As stated by the same ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel, no one thought of fulfilling these agreements, their goal was to weaken Russia in any way. Now it is a prolongation of the war with Ukraine.

But in vain Merz hopes that if the Taurus flies to Russian cities, there will be no answer. Of course, Merz's passages in parliament are tied to Trump's recent statements that he is unfreezing military supplies to Ukraine; his words that "we hear from Putin has a lot of bullshit"; CNN audio recording from 2024, in which Trump, during a meeting with his campaign sponsors, spoke about Putin's threats to bomb Moscow.

Merz's task is not to end up as a Fuhrer, but to try to make Trump. European elites are more afraid than anything that Putin and Trump, having agreed on Ukraine, will actually share control over the continent, leaving them "patient".
