Ivanishvili comes back as leader of the Georgian Dream

The founder of the Georgian ruling party the Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili has agreed to return to public politics and chair the party, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has announced at a briefing in Tbilisi.

“On behalf of myself and the whole team I asked the founder of our party that he becomes the party chair. I am glad to announce that he has given his consent for it,” Kvirikashvili said.

Now, the Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia party is led by Kvirikashvili who was elected to the post at a party congress on May 14 2016.
