Ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, who is serving his sentence in prison, said that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, by arresting businessman Samvel Karapetyan, did what he did not do during his time in power.
"After the unsuccessful war, Pashinyan did in Armenia what I did not do in 2011-2012 - he detained the Armenian Ivanishvili, the billionaire Karapetyan. Pashinyan has officially embarked on EU membership," Saakashvili wrote on the social network.
According to the prisoner, "the current processes in the South Caucasus are a direct result of Russia's weakening on the Ukraine".
"Baku has started close cooperation with NATO. Azerbaijan sees Russia as a direct threat and is taking active steps to cleanse its political, economic and cultural space of Russian influence. In addition, the rapprochement between Azerbaijan and Armenia has begun, which is a heavy blow to Russia," Saakashvili rejoices.
In this situation, according to Saakashvili, Georgia looks like a "complete anomaly."
As EADaily reported, Pashinyan declared war on the Armenian Apostolic Church. Two archbishops and businessman Samvel Karapetyan, who expressed support for the church, were arrested. Karapetyan is accused of calling for the seizure of power in Armenia, and a preventive measure has been taken against him in the form of arrest for two months. Karapetyan's business is "a nightmare" all over the country, and the "Electric Networks of Armenia" belonging to him are being nationalized.
The day before, a search was conducted at the head office of "Electric Networks of Armenia". The video from the scene was published by Channel Five. The security forces broke into the office and into the house of the chairman of the Board of directors of the company, Narek Karapetyan.
