The body of the ex-Minister of Transport and former governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit was identified by his girlfriend Polina K., whom the Kuryans called the "first lady" of Kursk. This is reported by the telegram channel Mash.

"She turned out to be the only one of Starovoit's relatives who was able to quickly arrive at the scene and identify the body of the ex-governor and ex-minister," writes TK.

It is noted that Starovoit divorced his wife in 2021, they have two children. The official had been in a relationship with Polina, a graduate of a local medical university, for at least the last year. He left with her from Kursk region after retirement.

The body of Starovoit is taken away from the scene of the suicide.

The house of the Starovoit family in the cottage village of Beresta in Krasnogorsk has been empty for a month and a half. This was reported to RIA Novosti by a source from the protection of the village. According to the data published on the village's website, the cost of vacant mansions there starts from 150 million rubles.

Recall, on Monday, Starovoit was relieved of his post as Minister of Transport. He headed the department since May 2024, and before that was the governor of the Kursk region.
