No apologies, take care of potatoes: Armenia decided to quarrel with Belarus

The leadership of Belarus should be engaged in growing potatoes, and not demand apologies. This was stated by the chairman of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan.

"I don't understand what I should regret. Armenia will not be a province, Armenia will not be politically dependent, Armenia will raise the level of its sovereignty, and the example of Belarus is unacceptable for my country… I think that this issue with Belarus is a little overblown and you are inflating it more," he told reporters at a briefing in parliament.

According to him, each country chooses its own political course, while the Armenian authorities, as he believes, "have chosen the path of democracy." At the same time, Simonyan criticized the Belarusian leadership, advising him to think "about the process of growing a large number of potatoes."

Recall, on May 1, Simonyan, in an interview with public television, stated that Russia was allegedly trying to conduct a political operation to change power in the republic. At the same time, he contrasted the situation in Armenia with the situation in Belarus, which, according to him, is "managed" from Moscow. Minsk was outraged by such statements, and on May 5, a protest was made to the charge d'affaires of Armenia in Belarus.
