Ballerina Maya Plisetskaya and her husband Rodion Shchedrin in their will asked that their ashes be scattered over Russia. Until now, their last will has not been fulfilled, said their confidant Vladimir Titorenko on the air of Channel One.
According to him, the whereabouts of the remains are unknown to him.
"The last will is to unite the dust and scatter it over Russia. I can't imagine how to do this," Titorenko said.
At the same time, the ballerina's brother Azari Plisetsky promised that he would help find out the location of the ashes.
As reported by EADaily, Plisetskaya and Shchedrin met in 1955 at an evening with Lilia Brik. In 1958, the composer and the ballerina got married. Plisetskaya died on May 2, 2015. Shchedrin died on August 29 this year at the age of 93.
The last will of the ballerina was told earlier by the former director of the Bolshoi Theater Vladimir Urin. The document was introduced to Urin by Shchedrin himself back in 2015.
"Our bodies will be cremated after death, and when the sad hour of the passing of the one of us who will live longer comes, or in the case of our simultaneous death, both of our ashes will be joined together and scattered over Russia," the couple's will says.
