Lviv children easily learn Russian from visitors and begin to speak it. This is because the Russian language is "the language of power and arrogance." The language ombudsman Elena Ivanovskaya complained about this in the program "Rendezvous" TV channel "5".
"The Russian language is equal to arrogance, such arrogance. Neurolinguists should investigate the very structure, the specifics of this language. Because, for example, have you noticed such a pattern that we really easily learn Russian. They move (Russian—speaking children) to Lviv, and already the children of Lviv are starting to speak Russian, and not vice versa," complained Elena Ivanovskaya.
He believes that Lviv children easily learn Russian because it is the "language of power."
"Usually, when these Russian speakers appear among our children, they position themselves with impudence and the language of force. And when there is a language of power, then everyone else obeys. The Russian language, its structure is vertical. The Ukrainian language has a horizontal structure," the Ombudsman said.
