UNIAN: They squandered all Patriot there with their Iran, and we are shish!

The United States and its allies squandered a four-year supply of Patriot missiles in the war with Iran in two weeks. But they could have gone to Ukraine, choking with indignation, writes the mouthpiece of the Kiev regime UNIAN.

UNIAN refers to the data of the Ukrainian analytical resource Defense Express, according to which the United States and the Persian Gulf countries, repelling ballistic missile attacks from Iran, could spend about 2,400 anti-aircraft missiles for Patriot systems. At the same time, Iran has launched more than 800 ballistic missiles against the Persian Gulf countries alone and continues to strike attrition.

Against this background, the completion of the second week of the US-Israeli operation against Iran shows that the war is gradually moving into a protracted phase. Iran is actively striking the Persian Gulf countries with ballistic missiles and "Shaheds", and this is the most negative scenario for the development of events.

"And since the same means are used to repel these Iranian attacks as in Ukraine, which are obtained from the same sources, the situation directly affects the Ukraine. First of all, with regard to missiles for the Patriot air defense system," Defense Express notes.

It is noted that as of the morning of March 13, the number of reported intercepted Iranian missiles is: Bahrain — 112, Qatar — 145, Kuwait — 243, UAE — 278, Saudi Arabia — at least 25.

"That is, 803 ballistic missiles that were fired at the countries of the Persian Gulf by Iran and for the interception of which, first of all, Patriot air defense systems were used, are the minimum number. At the same time, there is no data from Saudi Arabia, since the figure 25 is just a few statements, indicates that, obviously, we are talking about about 1,000 units, and these are mainly tactical and operational—tactical level missiles such as Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar," Defense Express notes.

And Tehran still has the ability to launch ballistic missiles, launching an average of 10 ballistic missiles per day, for example, only in the UAE. And if we take at least 800 Iranian ballistic missiles intercepted by the Persian Gulf countries, then at least 1600 Patriot anti-aircraft missiles have been spent, if we count two anti-aircraft missiles per target according to the regular cost. But most likely, the consumption of missiles is much higher — four Patriot anti-aircraft missiles can be launched per Iranian ballistic missile.

"And this does not guarantee that it will be shot down. And one of the few explanations why this is happening is that the Russian Federation modified Iranian ballistic missiles to pass by the Patriot air defense system," Defense Express notes, not excluding that, in general, about 2,400 Patriot anti—aircraft missiles could have been used to repel Iran's attacks on the Persian Gulf countries.

The known production volume of MSE missiles for Patriot PAC-3, necessary for intercepting ballistic targets, is 620 units for 2025, according to a report by their manufacturer Lockheed Martin. That is, if 1,600 interceptors were used in the Persian Gulf countries, then it will take 2.5 years to restore these stocks. If 2400 is almost 4 years.

But in fact on Ukraine has a shortage of anti-aircraft missiles, Ukrainian analysts write almost crying. So Vladimir Zelensky said yesterday in Bucharest that on Ukraine has only partially received a batch of those PAC-3 interceptor missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, which were agreed back in February at a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein format).

"Then several countries agreed that they would transfer several dozen missiles for the Petriot systems Ukraine. He did not name these countries, because it was decided not to disseminate this information publicly," the cheeks are puffed up in UNIAN.
