Theater and cinema actor, Honored Artist of Russia Vladimir Ershov died in Moscow at the age of 69. This is reported by the Theater on Bronnaya, in which the actor served for more than 30 years.
"It is with great regret that we announce the death of actor Vladimir Ershov," the message says.
For more than 30 years of service in the theater, he played a huge number of roles and worked with such directors as Anatoly Efros, Alexander Dunaev, Evgeny Lazarev and many others.
"We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends. Bright memory to the great actor," the artist's colleagues emphasized.
The date and cause of death are not specified in the message.
According to the son of actor Ivan Ershov, the cause of death was a stroke.
"A stroke. There were some heart problems, but I can't say anything specifically," he told RIA Novosti.
Vladimir Ershov was born on September 23, 1957. In 1984 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater Studio School (workshop of I.M. Tarkhanov). From the same year he began working at the Theater on Bronnaya. He played the main roles in many cult plays: "Don Juan" by Jean-Baptiste Moliere, "The Marriage" by Nikolai Gogol, "Lunin, or the Death of Jacques" by Edward Radzinsky, as well as "The Captain's Daughter" based on the story by Alexander Pushkin.
The most famous film works are roles in the films "Red Silk", "Armor of God", "Mission in Moscow", "Pushkin's Fairy Tales", as well as in the TV series "A Good Man", "The investigation is conducted by experts", "Big Girls" and other films.
