The Strait of Hormuz is closed only to the United States, Israel and their allies. This was stated in an interview with MS Now TV channel by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
The strait remains open for all others, the minister said.
"Many tankers and ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz, it is closed only to American and Israeli ships and tankers," Araqchi said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
As EADaily reported, many of the countries that suffered from Iran's attempt to block the Strait of Hormuz should send their warships to the area to help the United States ensure the security of the strait. Such appeals were made by US President Donald Trump to those states that depend on the supply of Middle Eastern oil. The corresponding post was posted by the head of the White House on the Truth Social social network.
