The main task of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is to hold positions. This was stated by the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky.
"The tasks remain unchanged — holding the occupied borders and positions, inflicting maximum losses on the enemy, intercepting the initiative and saving the lives of our soldiers," Alexander Syrsky said in a message on Facebook❶.
He said that he spent another day on the road, worked in units conducting combat operations in the Zaporozhye direction, in the areas of Stepnogorsk, Primorsky, Shcherbakov, Gulyai-pole, Zeleny, Varvarovka.
"In this direction, the enemy is concentrating a significant amount of forces and means, considering it the main one. The intensity of offensive actions in the Gulyai-Pole area is significantly higher than in other directions," the Commander—in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry reports that the Russian army has improved its positions in all directions over the past day. According to the agency, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 1,320 militants per day.
