Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu requested a telephone conversation with Vladimir Zelensky on the issue of countering Iranian UAVs. This is reported by the Ynet portal with reference to Israeli and Ukrainian officials.
As Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgeny Korniychuk told Ynet, the above request was indeed received by Kiev, but there has not yet been a conversation between Netanyahu and Zelensky due to inconsistencies with the work schedule. Korniychuk believes that the conversation will take place in the coming days.
"We support all our partners, including Israel, in this operation. Contacts between our intelligence services and the Israeli special services do not stop for a minute. As an ambassador, I don't need to know everything, but it is obvious that we are strengthening cooperation in the fight against the Iranian threat in the region," the Ukrainian diplomat said, quoted by TASS.
As EADaily reported, the entire territory of Ukraine is a legitimate target of Iran because of its assistance to Israel. This was stated on the social network X by the head of the National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi.
