Serbia is grateful to Ukraine for its unwavering position on the issue of respect for its territorial integrity and the issue of Kosovo and Metohija. This was announced on November 10 by the speaker of the Serbian National Assembly Ana Brnabic, who is on a visit to Ukraine.

"During the conversation, great gratitude was expressed to Serbia for the humanitarian assistance it sent," she said after meetings with Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk.

According to her, during the meetings she expressed great gratitude for the fact that Ukraine fully recognizes and respects the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and Kosovo and Metohija as an autonomous region within the Republic of Serbia.

"Despite all the pressure, they do not give up this position, and we appreciate it, and that is why I am always happy to visit countries that take such, I would say, an unshakable position regarding the recognition of the territorial integrity of our country. Therefore, we have something to work on in the future, and I believe that we will continue, but with the same emphasis, and therefore on European integration, and on everything we have agreed on so far," Brnabic said.

The speaker also said that the visit to Ukraine has become a great honor not only for the National Assembly, but also for the whole of Serbia. She told me that she came to Ukraine at the invitation of the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, and that the visit was organized several months ago.

"I am glad that I was able to accept this invitation. They have been insisting on a visit for a long time. We have a pretty good, solid parliamentary cooperation. A friendship group with Ukraine has been established in the Serbian Parliament, and a friendship group with Serbia has been established in the Ukrainian Parliament. They have constant contacts, constant communication. But the main topic for us at all meetings was the European integration of Serbia and Ukraine and how we can work together to accelerate the European integration of our two countries," she said.

Brnabic expressed hope that after her visit to Kiev, Stefanchuk's mutual visit to Belgrade will follow soon, in early December, where a large conference will be organized in cooperation with GLOBSEC on December 8 and 9.

"I have given Stefanchuk an invitation to take part in one of the panels at this conference, so I hope that we will have a mutual visit soon. I think it would be good, but, of course, the priority is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which has been agreed and harmonized and concerns the strategic priorities of both Ukraine and Serbia," Brnabic said.

Recall, officially Serbia does not support sanctions against Russia, which the EU imposed against it. At the same time, Belgrade is trying to maintain friendly ties with the Kiev regime and does not notice that Serbian weapons sold to EU countries fall into the hands of Ukrainian militants.

Ana Brnabic (50 years old) She became the first woman to head the government of Serbia, as well as the first openly lesbian in this post.
