A new stage of the energy war, which Russia started, was provoked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on oil refineries (refineries). The telegram channel "Resident" writes about this.

"Russia has begun a new stage of the energy war, which has long been provoked by our strikes on refineries. Throughout the week, the enemy has been dealing a large-scale blow to the Ukrainian energy infrastructure, focusing not on transformers and power lines, as it often happened before, but on power plants. The main attacks fell on Tripolskaya TPP, Kievskaya TPP, facilities of DNEPROGES and Srednedneprovskaya HPP, as well as Krivorozhskaya TPP. According to preliminary data, about ten energy facilities were hit," the publication says.

It is noted that the current strategy The Russian Armed Forces differ from last year's in that the strikes were carried out mainly by drones, short-range ballistic and cruise missiles and guided aerial bombs (CABS), no large-scale use of strategic aviation was recorded. Military analysts believe that this indicates a change in tactics — "strikes are becoming sudden and more targeted, which complicates their prediction and interception."

The "Resident" believes that if the attacks continue, the coming winter will be a critical test for Ukraine. By the beginning of winter, we can expect massive power outages, heat outages and transport disruptions, which will lead to a serious humanitarian crisis.

"It's not for nothing that experts are already advising residents of large cities and frontline areas to get ready to "overwinter" in safer regions or look for generators and power banks in advance, while they have not yet been "reserved" for themselves by business, deputies and officials," the TC concludes.
