21-year-old Ukrainian refugee Ekaterina Tovmash was shot dead in the USA. This was announced on the social network by her brother Mikhail.
According to him, the girl's ex-boyfriend, 25-year-old American Caleb Gayden Fosno, is suspected of murder. A young man came to North Carolina from Ohio, broke into Catherine's house, where she was with her younger brothers and sisters, as well as a new friend, with a firearm.
"Around 7 a.m., her ex-boyfriend, a man who drove seven hours from Ohio, broke into her apartment, where she was looking after our younger brothers and sisters. He forced one of our brothers or sisters to wake her up, and then shot her in bed, taking her life. He also shot her boyfriend, who was sleeping next to her," writes Mikhail.
He fled the scene of the crime, but was soon detained. The man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Ekaterina Tovmash lived in the USA for about two years. She moved there after SMO started from Bila Tserkva, Kiev region.
