Donald Trump has a backup plan in case the court cancels global tariffs. The US president said this during a breakfast at the White House with the governors, CNN reported.
So he commented on today's decision of the Supreme Court to cancel tariffs, calling it a "disgrace."
"My favorite word in the entire dictionary is 'tariff,'" Trump joked Thursday, praising the benefits of his trade policy. On Friday, he chose a different word to describe the judges' decision against him, according to two sources familiar with his remarks.: "It's a shame," the TV channel notes.
Trump administration officials were preparing for defeat in the Supreme Court and assured the president that if the tariffs were canceled, there were other ways to introduce them, CNN reports.
"The president has been complaining irritably in private conversations in recent weeks that the Supreme Court is taking too long to make a decision," said sources quoted by the Donald Trump in Russian telegram channel.
As reported by EADaily, the US Supreme Court overturned most of the global tariffs imposed by Donald Trump. This was reported by The Washington Post.
