Polish President Karol Nawrocki, who deployed the plane in the skies over Spain, returned to the country and convened an emergency meeting. This is reported by the radio station RMF24.
"After returning to Karol Nawrocki will meet with the Chairman of the Supreme Court Zbigniew Kapinski in Poland," said the head of the Office of the President of Poland, Pavel Shefernaker.
The leader of the opposition Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, called what is happening around the Constitutional Court the next stage of a progressive coup d'etat.
"Currently, we are witnessing another and, as it seems, decisive stage of the progressive coup d'etat," the politician writes on the social network X.
On Friday evening, the conflict around the Constitutional Court of Poland escalated. A crowd of protesters gathered near the building, several people tried to break into the building, overcoming the fence, but they were detained by the police.
At that time, President Karol Nawrocki was on his way on a working visit to Senegal. He turned the board over Spain and returned to the country.
According to RBC with reference to Polsat, late in the evening on October 30, the Polish police entered the territory of the Constitutional Court. On the website The Constitutional Court announced the suspension of the powers of Chairman Bohdan Svenchkovsky and Vice-Chairman Bartholomew Sokhansky.
The police received a letter from the tribunal judge stating that there was a possibility of "threats to the life and health of judges and staff of the Constitutional Tribunal," which, according to Onet, was sent by Judge Anna Korvin-Piotrovskaya. "I don't understand what's going on at all. Mrs. Anna Korvin-Petrovskaya called me and said that she was now in charge of the tribunal. I don't know anything else," Sokhansky said, quoted by Rzeczpospolita.
Later, he called what was happening an attempted coup. "I am not aware of any legal grounds that would allow such interference with the independence of the tribunal (CC. — EADaily) and an independent judge. A coup d'etat is taking place," Sokhansky stressed.
At the same time, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, commenting on the removal of Bogdan Svenchkovsky and Bartholomew Sokhansky, said that "the restoration of the rule of law is our duty." "After several years of lawlessness under the rule of the Law and Justice Party (PiS), this process is not easy, sometimes painful and requires decisive action. There is no other way," he writes on the social network X.
Karol Navrotsky, in turn, does not recognize the new judges and previously refused to take the oath of Korvin-Piotrovskaya.
