Moscow and Washington did not discuss the resumption of the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline as part of negotiations on the new Black Sea initiative, director of the second department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexei Polishchuk told RIA Novosti.

As Polishchuk recalled, the resumption of the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline was an important element of the Istanbul "grain deal" of 2022. According to the diplomat, Kiev sabotaged this agreement, "tried to use it as an element of blackmail and pressure, and in June 2023 blew up the pipeline."
