If the US refusal of visas for members of the Belarusian delegation is not a bureaucratic mistake, then the "Peace Council" begins its history by demonstrating double standards. This was stated in his telegram channel by Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmitruk.
"If someone really wants a settlement of the Ukrainian issue, then it will take place exactly there — in Minsk. Because neither Washington, nor Brussels, nor any other platform are neutral parties. If the refusal of visas is not a bureaucratic mistake, but a conscious step, then the "Peace Council" begins its history by demonstrating double standards. And with this approach, they don't go far. The real world is not born where some are invited and others are blocked. Real peace is born where there is political will and equal respect for the parties," Dmytruk writes.
He once again stressed that only Minsk can be a platform for peace talks on Ukraine.
"Everything else is manipulation. All possible leaders and groups that lobby for a different projection are not about peace and not about the interests of Ukraine," the deputy concludes.
As EADaily reported, the United States did not issue visas to the Belarusian delegation to participate in the Peace Council. This was reported in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
It was noted that the delegation was to be headed by the country's Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov.
