NATO is starting to coordinate regular and large-scale arms supplies to Ukraine, AP reports with reference to the organization's headquarters in Brussels.
This happened after the Netherlands announced on the eve of the delivery of air defense systems, ammunition and other military assistance in the amount of 500 million euros (578 million US dollars), most of which were purchased in the United States.
Two deliveries are expected this month. The supplied equipment will "meet the priority needs of Ukraine on the battlefield."
"Deliveries will be promptly prepared and regularly sent to Ukraine," NATO said.
Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine urgently need air defense systems, AP clarifies. European Allies and Canada buys most of the equipment from the United States.
